I DIE for this fashion collaboration. Seriously. The color, the flirty skirts and ruffles. The strappy sandals. Did, I mention the color? The eye catching print.
The damage? The prices range from $13USD to $200USD with the most expensive item is a eye-catching blue leather jacket which is pictured below.
You can snag all of the above and more in Target stores and at www.target.com on February 10!
I used to be a dedicated Forever 21 addict. First, I started out with buying their clothes, but the items I purchased never lasted too long. Then, I moved on to their shoes, which lasted a season or two. I wised up and started buying only their accessories, but you can imagine how long a “gold” plated necklace lasts…
I was browsing one of my favorite blogs, Stylish Petite, just did a review on a really great Camel Crossbody bag from Forever 21. She was equally as shocked about the quality of the bag. Sadly, the crossbody bag is sold out! However, I found some really great alternatives!
The last night I was in Chicago my mom told my sister and I she was wanted to clean out her closet. My sister and I were able to shop her closet and I took back a super full suitcase back home to DC with me.
The night before we left, I incorporated one of her amazing sweaters into my outfit. I do admit I was a little overdressed because I wore this outfit to a brewery, but I do what I want when it comes to fashion!
What I Wore:
Sweater: No name
Earrings: Gifted by a Friend
Night out on the town. The weather has been so great in DC that I wanted to celebrate by wearing a frock that is definitely outside of my normal “wear”. But it is a new year to try new things! I usually hate fish tail skirts but this dress just works for me.
This dress has so many interesting dimensions. It has a fish tail, a cris-cross tie up in the front, a floral print, ruffles, and a racer back.
What I Wore:
Of course my pup wanted to get in the picture again! Step outside of the fashion box in 2012! Wear something that you love, not because it is a trend, not because it is safe…wear it because you love it!
I am loving “winter” in DC! It is so warm and best of all there is no snow…yet. I’m hoping it never snows. I’m trying to wear more things in the back of my closet so I pulled out my favorite pussy bow shirt that I received from my mom.
My poodle, Maxi wanted to get in all of the pictures!
What I Wore:
I know alot of women and men love fashion but when it comes to pronuncing the names of the designers there is a disconnect. I like cheap things. I like getting pretty. I like the Fashion Bomb Blog. I like that this event is also a cancer awareness benefit.

Sometimes I like going on dates by myself and this week I did just that. I also didn’t want to look frumpy so I dressed up a bit.
What I Wore:
This was a great outfit to beat the HEAT! I am most definitely taking this get up with me on my trip to Ghana next month!
Yesterday, my brother and I headed to the Shrine Nightclub in Chicago for Black Star Saturdays. Black Star Saturdays is a night dedicated to music from Ghana, Africa in general, Top 40 music, and hip-hop. I wanted to wear something that was light weight and easy to dance in.
What I wore:
Earrings: Pretty Afrika
Belt: Discovery Clothing
Shoes: Shoe Carnival
Boom. Easy, cheap outfit. I had so much fun dancing to Ghanaian music and catching up with old friends!
In my eyes DVF can do no wrong. I love the mix of hard and soft, bright and metallic fabrics. Again she has created a line of clothing that will last a lifetime. DVF named the collection the “Wrapsody Rap” (I always wonder how designers decide on how to name their collections). Her creative director and Yvan Mispelaere, said the collection brings together a “hip-hop feeling with a romantic edginess.” Spied at Style.com
My summer would not be complete without these shorts. You can get them in Black/Bronze (I did) or in Navy/Teal. Purchase them here for only US $14.90. I am side-eyeing Forever 21 because the word tribal is just disgusting though. Whose tribe wears these shorts?!
I will be the first to admit, I am doing the most today. Can you imagine me carrying a heavy ass watermelon, while on a bike holding two full bags of groceries in this outfit? Well I did it.
Necklace: DC Pearl Lady
Bag: Kate Spade
Shoes: Nine West
Total Cost: over 400 (If I include the cost of my grown lady bag).
I am off to a dinner with friends. I am bringing dessert (a light cake with berries and kiwi). Enjoy your day. I am still on a high from finishing graduate school.
Please refer to me as Queen B of International Affairs because I am finished with my graduate school education. Yesterday morning at 3:00am I turned in my last paper. I am not sure it has hit me yet, but I am sure it will during my formal graduation next week. Anyway, here is what I wore.
Dress: Had it made in Ghana last year
Necklace: From Cha Cha Boutique in Bloomington, IN
Shoes: Forever 21
Total Cost: Approximately $70.00
Happy Friday everyone!
