I am always obessively looking for new music to listen to. “DJs” are a dime a dozen and good ones are particuarly hard to find. A guy that I went to school with at the University of Ghana put out this mix and I really dig it. Sharing is caring. Listen to his mix here. Happy listening readers!
p.s. This mix serves as perfect workout music!
For Your Entertainment: Illustrated Anatomy of Popular Disney Characters
Sometimes I always like super weird and intricate stuff. Well, weird is a strong word. I have a strong appreciation for things that are not considered within the sphere of normal. I don’t even appreciate normal. People who do normal things are not extraordinary. I love this set of art illustrations called Inhuman Anatomy. It is an incredible ongoing series of illustrations by Italian musician and artist Alessandro Conti that give us a detailed inside look at popular Disney characters and more. My advice for day: EXPLORE THE WEIRD.

I am a child of the age of boy bands and music video debuts. I used to run home after school just to vote for N’Sync’s latest videos on Total Request Live (if you don’t know what that is, sorry for your loss), I used to argue with my girlfriends about how much better N’Sync was than the Backstreet Boys, and I knew every single boy band ever created.
When Justin Timberlake (the defacto front man of N’Sync) went solo, I just about lost my mind. His music was the business. Then, he went on a hiatus. I waited and waited for his triumphant return. Well, he is back and better than ever! His latest track, “Suit and Tie” (click here to listen). I am too geeked about it.
The video for this track is in production as well. Check out these LAist pictures below:

MTV also just did an interview with T.I., who will be working with Justin Timberlake. Click here to watch. I cannot wait.

For Your Entertainment: Miguel’s “Adorn”
This song has been stuck in my head ever since I listened to Miguel’s latest album, Kaleidoscope Dream. I listen to the album in the morning, in the evening, before I go to bed…I am obessesed. But when it comes to music, I either really like it and I play an album until it dies, or I hate it.
Since, this song is stuck in my head, I’ll let it get stuck in your head as well.

Happy Almost Friday.
I loved this post from the 7th District so much that I had to post it on my own blog! I have already knocked out 20 or so of these “to-dos”. What do you have planned for the summer?

I don’t know about you but I am still tripping over the hologram Tupac performance…. Anyway one of the most anticipated performances was The Weeknd’s Coachella performance this past Sunday. If you couldn’t make it to the event here is 12 live versions of the songs that has the internetz going nutz.
For Your Entertainment: John Mayer “City Love”
Fun fact about me: I’ve been to 4 John Mayer concerts. I think that makes me an almost stan? Oh, well that was high school. But I still have mad love for his music.
“City Love” is the name of a song by the musical artist John Mayer. He released it on his studio album, Room for Squares. It is the album’s sixth track. Mayer performed the song accommodated with a lengthy improvised intro in 2004 at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.
“The lyrics of “City Love” chronicle a singer’s relationship with a woman named Lydia, whom he met in New York City (“this apple”). It makes allusions to many of the things associated with the city: Battery Park, sounds of sirens, and taxi cabs.
According to the Any Given Thursday DVD extras, Mayer’s song “Covered in Rain” is the sequel to this song. This title may be assumed to be derived from a line in the third verse of “City Love” (“… the day she called up and came to me, covered in rain.”).” via Wikipedia
Can you believe this CD was released almost 11 years ago? My how time flies!I am pretty sure I can’t play my original cd anymore because I played it to death.

This version from the 2011 Watch the Throne stop in Montreal, CA. According to my friend the pair sung the song FIVE times because the fans in the crowd kept asking for it.
I don’t know about you but whenever I don’t want to do something and I know i should I just turn on this song. Things always get done after I play this jawn.
